It is almost a year ago that Simon and I started this podcast now, every month we have seen the download numbers rise so first things first: Thanks for the support and a merry christmas and happy 2009.
Needless to say we'll catch you on the flipside with another year of breaking out the hottest tunes !

The weather outside is getting colder, a financial crisis is wreaking havoc but nothing will stop breakout episode 9 from warming up your

bodies. Dancing with an empty wallet is less restricting anyways ! ;)
This month as usual brand new exclusive stuff: I start things of with my recently finished remix for the Hungarian duo Myon & Shane 54, I

gave their track 'trapped' the Steur treatment. I also officially announce the track I did with Elsa Hill ' stay in my dream', to be

released soon!

The summer months fly by, already nearing the end of august. Can't say I noticed much of the 'global warming' here in Belgium this summer altough we had some nice days :)

But hey wait, this isn't the weather chat, time for some hot music, Breakout 8 is locked and loaded!

This month 3 hours of breakout bliss:
My set is filled with fresh new progressive , tech and trance , including some of the remixes I've been doing this summer: Roger-M feat Eva by your side, Leon Bolier - XD and Deadmau5 - Clockwork all got the Steur treatment. Of course 'Cold winds' couldn't be left out ( release will be soon, 9th of september) and more cool stuff I found in my promo folder.

Simon shows you why this show is called breakout , he is opening with a prog trance track ( that's the only thing I can call it if I have to say something) made by Axwell and Dirty South, yes , the house guys like their trance as well from time to time ;). For the rest lots of melodic and darker tech stuff from Simon this month.

The 3rd hour is a guestmix by the lovely Turkish dj Feliz. She provides us with a tasty progressive trance flavoured set straight from Istanbul.

Summertime, last friday of July, breakout!

This month something different then usual. The first part of the show is the set I played at the Solarize Party, the third of may, recorded by the guys of dancefoundation.nl . Even though it's two months ago still lots of freshness in there including my new upcoming single with Julie Thompson, 'cold winds'. The rest of the set is consisting of the usual tasty tastiness.

Simon, hits up a hot new set which combines scorching techno beats and some fresh banging house sounds. Highlights of the set are the new Joris Voorn single 'deep side of the moog' and also the latest Oliver Koletzki release 'since you are gone'.

The last friday of the month again, Breakout time !
We made it trough the first 6 months of this show's existance and a quick glance at the statistics shows me that the audience is growing bigger every month ! Thanks for all the support !

This month I open up with a fresh vocal goodie, you guessed it right : TBA time ;)

It's the end of the month may, finally temperatures in Europe have been going up , music is in the air, it's breakout time again !

This month some very fresh stuff in my set, so is there the for fun bootleg remix I did for Yazoo - Don't go , the official revealing of the next Jonas Steur single 'Why work when you can play' and some other things that are just too hot to not be named TBA - TBA !

Simon clearly got influenced by the rising temperature as well because this month's set is filled with warm melodic and energetic floor filling tech house.
The Joris Voorn 'dark magnolia' remix of Dark flower is one of the highlights.

Oh yes, nr 3 has arrived , another busy month in the studio has passed and it shows in my new breakout set. TBA - TBA is spammed all over the place !
This means loads of brand new never heard before stuff for you to check out. I also played my upcoming release on spinnin records again ' Evil Robot - Call it whatever you fancy', the dj support for this one is growing very strong and in a few weeks it will be unleashed upon the world.

Simon once again opens the door to techno heaven and gave 30 minutes of his set for his new born techno project together with Pascal Schutters. They call themselves the 'Rancid junkies' and are cooking up some tunes I hope we'll be able to check out soon.For now there's this half hour dj set as an appetizer for things to come...

Breakout show starts 25th of january

Finally I'm gonna start my own show. After being a resident on the intuition radio show for about 2 years it's time for something 100% Steur. And instead of 100 % you'll get 200 % cause I'm not the only Steur involved !
Breakout will be a monthly show consisting of two 60 minute sets made by my brother Simon and I.

We'll bring you our personal selection of red hot tracks in the mix. Trance, house, techno and all the crossovers between them or ridiculously named boxes you can put it in, we'll play it if it rocks!

The first episode will be available here coming friday.
